Seven working groups have come together to complete the first non-stop marathon designed by IFABER to listen to clients and bring innovation to procurement.
The first edition of the User Experience Forum has successfully drawn to a close. The co-innovation project developed by IFABER, a UniCredit group company, in collaboration with Life-Interaction and H-FARM, was held on Thursday, April 23 at the UniCredit Tower in Milan.
The initiative was launched to serve as an incubator for ideas that can help to introduce innovations to the services and functions of the IFABER e-procurement platform within the IFABER community, improving user experience. It has taken on board the contributions of companies and users thanks to a number of working groups, all of which were characterized by their energetic, innovative and creative approach to the task at hand.
More than 35 users representing IFABER's corporate clients operating in various sectors - from services to manufacturing - actively participated in the event and were divided into seven working groups led by a team of procurement and innovation experts for an intense day of innovation, focused on developing projects designed to introduce innovative new functions to the IFABER e-procurement platform. In the afternoon, the proposals submitted were then judged by a prestigious jury of industry experts, innovators and influencers from the business community.
"We are really thrilled with the success of this first open-innovation initiative, which will allow us to further improve the functions of our platform, on the basis of the real needs expressed by buyers and sellers," declared Ludovica Lardera, the CEO of IFABER who was directly involved in the selection of the projects developed. "The fantastic enthusiasm demonstrated by our clients and the high level of creativity that characterizes the projects presented demonstrates the enormous potential for innovation in our community, which we aim to take full advantage of via initiatives like this, and by sharing our expertise, to contribute to digital evolution and to grow the Italian procurement market".
"The seven groups devoted themselves to the task at hand with creativity and pragmatism, developing suggestions for vendor management, sourcing and supply collaboration on the platform. Among these, one of the groups working on sourcing presented the project to which the jury awarded the prize for the highest level of creativity, innovation and development potential. The idea shared by the team working on vendor management was also commended, designed to promote supplier heritage in a global supply market. Finally, at the various workshops dedicated to supply collaboration, one team in particular developed an idea to facilitate increased communication and cooperation with suppliers."
