he company closed 2014 with revenues of € 18,511,583, an increase compared to the € 17,655,068 of revenues recorded for 2013. This positive financial result reflects the continued growth of the company in Italy, guided by an effective business strategy and a continuous drive for innovation.
In an economic environment which remains challenging and difficult at times, IFABER has closed 2014 with a net profit. In addition to the growth in revenue, it has also recorded a ROS (EBIT/Sales) of 11.9%, demonstrating the company's capacity to achieve a double-digit margin, with an operating profit (EBIT) increase of 21% when compared to 2013. These figures confirm the growth of IFABER, a trend driven by 270-plus buyer companies it has supplied with solutions in recent years, active in the major PA and corporate markets of reference, in which the company has established strong and expansive partnerships with innovative public bodies and even closer collaborations with leading multinational businesses from various different industrial sectors.
Further evidence of the results achieved are as follows: the high number of negotiation "events" carried out, numbering more than 46,000 in 2014 (double that seen a year earlier), an increase of 23% in the total traded volumes on the platform, and last but not least, the number of suppliers on the platform, which grew by 45% between 2013 and 2014, with a total of 69,000 suppliers registered by the end of 2014. These results highlight and confirm the growth trend that IFABER is currently undergoing, consolidating its leading position in the supply chain market.
The company's key financial and commercial goals have been achieved thanks to a major focus on change and innovation, both within the organization and in its approach to the market. Specifically, the distinctive features of IFABER's new approach to the market include the the continuous innovation of its solutions, to ensure that they can meet the needs of its clients, as well as the winning combination of high-level skills and professionalism. Accordingly, the company continues to consolidate its position, guiding the evolution of Italian purchasing divisions, which are being transformed courtesy of the advent of digital technologies.

For 2015, IFABER has two key aims: on the one hand, to continue to consolidate its position and grow in Italy, promoting the development of the purchasing sector and thus supporting the competitiveness of companies the reference markets, and on the other, to help create a positive purchasing culture in our country, collaborating with the academic world. First and foremost, the company is supporting initiatives such as the Masters in Procurement Management at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, conceived to train future professionals in the sector. Secondly, IFABER also supports research in this sector, carried out by the Milan Polytechnic University on "Electronic Invoicing, Dematerialization and Supply Chain Finance".
IFABER is offering its services as a facilitator of purchasing culture, organizing dedicated events such as the PEC and the User Experience Forum. The PEC (Procurement Executive Circle) is the event that was founded in 2003 to bring together the Italian community of procurement and supply chain executives, encouraging them to share their experiences and best practices, while the User Experience Forum is the initiative launched this year which recently came to an end, created to serve as an incubator for ideas that in turn can help to introduce innovations to the services and functions of the IFABER e-procurement platform, with its own community of users.
