The answers to these questions are set to be provided on October 22 in Milan (Hotel Grand Visconti Palace, from 8.30 am), at the "Indirect Purchasing 2015 - a tool for increasing profitability" event, organized by Business International and sponsored by IFABER.
The role of procurement teams as well as that of other corporate functions has been at the center of deep and extensive organizational and functional changes in recent years. For this reason, IFABER has launched a study entitled "Procurement & Supply Chain Journey: Trends, challenges and strategic priorities for procurement and the supply chain in the digital age", to analyze the changes taking place in purchasing divisions and to outline possible scenarios for the future. The research project was conceived to track the evolution of the Purchasing division in the face of the increasing complexity of business processes, and in light of current trends in the supply and sales markets. The event will represent an ideal opportunity to present the results of research conducted on 50 Italian companies operating in different sectors, courtesy of Maximiliano Bruno, Head of Corporate Market and Francesco Santoro, Head of Marketing & Business Transformation.
During the day's proceedings, a number of different themes will be addressed, including: the organizational evolution of the purchasing division, indirect spending as a means for optimizing corporate expenditure, possible actions on maverick spending and working in collaboration with internal clients and suppliers.
